The connection between history and culture has been the focus of Ondřej Táborský’s interest for several years. As the curator of the Czech National Museum, he was the author and co-author of several valued exhibitions. He also publishes professional as well as journalistic texts on museology and contemporary exhibition practice.
His interest in museum trends and public events led him to found the Ecological Initiative of National Museum Employees. He participated in several conferences and workshops on the topic of sustainability and the climate crisis and is currently working on the theory of the exhibition of global challenges. He would like to help the development of collaboration between academic, cultural and non-profit sectors in the field of global challenges.
As a historian, he focuses on the consumer culture and visuality of socialist Czechoslovakia. With his interdisciplinary team, he spent several years researching advertising production in the post-war period, which project was funded by the Czech Science Foundation.
